For school events, are transportation costs and textbooks included?

Most of the excursions and school events that are offered do include transportation costs.

For excursions associated with the Culture class on weekends, usually students meet at the school, unless another location is specified. If the excursion destination is outside Tokyo, students must return to Tokyo with the class in order for KCP to pay for the round trip. However, if the excursion site is within Tokyo, you are responsible for your transportation costs home.

Sometimes, if the weather is nice, language instructors will take students to nearby parks to study. They may even take students to museums or other short destinations from school. Entire school outings are offered periodically during the year, and students may be asked to join a BBQ at a nearby beach or park, or a school trip might be planned to a festival or cultural site. These non-Culture class costs will not be included in the package fee.

Usually, however, the out of pocket transportation and entrance costs for a student that are not covered in the package price never exceed $50/semester.

Your textbooks are included in the program fee.
